Safari & Hiking Arusha

Overview

We will pick you up from your hotel in the morning and take a short 50 minute drive to the park gates arriving at around 10:00am. On this one day safari you do a walking safari and game drive.

We will spend up to four hours hiking in Arusha National Park. Both easy and strenuous hikes are available and the scenery in Arusha is beautiful.
At Mommela Gate an armed ranger will join us before setting out across open plains for a leisure walking safari. Here you’ll experience the wildlife up-close. The surrounding forests are an inspiration to bird-lovers, with over 50 species of birds.

After walking we will do a game drive, visiting both the Momela Lakes and the Ngurdoto Crater. Wildlife you may see includes African buffalos, elephants, hippos, giraffes, warthogs, antelopes, zebras, blue monkeys and sometimes a rare leopard or hyena. In the late afternoon we depart for Arusha where we will end our safari back at your hotel.
