Tarangire National Park

Overview

Tarangire National Park lies 120km south of Arusha and is a popular day trip. We will pick you up from your hotel at 7.30 in the morning, prepared with a picnic lunch, and drive in comfort to this lesser known game park within the Northern Tanzania Safari Circuit.

The herds of elephant are surprisingly big here, often numbering in the hundreds. There is also a great variety of plains game including giraffes, impalas and zebras to name just a few. Cats also live here and we have often observed prides of healthy looking lions. We’ve also been privileged to see a few leopards during our previous safaris here.

Recommended time to visit:

• July to Oct is the best possible time for game.
• June &November are also good & excellent value.
