Tour that shows you the wonderful attractions of Funzi Island. Funzi is the only Island that has been occupied by humans as the Shirazi tribe which is mainly Muslim lives there. For a swimming experience on the sand bank and an enjoyable sea food lunch at sandbank or resort.

Departure from your hotel and drive 20 minuts up to River Ramisi. Start the adventurous trip in a motor canoe along River Ramisi. River Ramisi is known for its natural attractions, bird-life and sometimes a crocodile here and there. We will stop at the river bank for a swimming episode and enjoyable sunbathing.

Later, visit a village at the Island and meet the locals of Funzi. Take a break at Funzi Mangrove Resort for lunch. Enjoy our sea food meals specially prepared to leave you wanting for more. The meals are specially prepared in Swahili style and include the day’s catch, grilled lobster, crab and more accompaniments.

During low tide, the sand banks are a wonderful attraction for people to spend the day sunbathing and swimming but the activity is cut short when the high tide returns.
